Today we have the pleasure of introducing you to Serenity Kids. Their unique shelf-stable purees include protein, veggies, and healthy fats. You can follow along at their Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook. Firstly, Joe and Serenity, co-founders of Serenity Kids explain their product in their own words.
Our Search for Nutritious Baby Food…
When my partner Joe and I started talking about having a baby, we assumed we would be able to find baby foods that fit our own healthy standards. We’ve both discovered that a nutrient-dense, low-sugar, Whole30-inspired diet dramatically improves our health, and we want to be able to offer the same quality nutrition to our children. But we quickly realized that commercial baby foods are low in healthy fat and protein and quite high in sugar. Because of this, we decided to create an alternative.
In order to create Serenity Kids, we partnered with small, American family farmers to create a delicious baby food that’s just as portable as other store-bought brands, but so much more nutritious. Our recipes contain meat from animals that are raised humanely on pasture, without hormones, antibiotics or GMO feed, paired with high-quality organic vegetables.
We know so many parents who want to feed their little ones the healthiest stuff on earth, but struggle to find options that fit their busy schedules. We hope Serenity Kids’ convenient, nutrient-dense pouches will help them have the best of both worlds. In short, they’re healthy for baby, easy for mamas and good for the planet.

About Serenity Kids Baby Food
Our baby food is high in fat, low in sugar and an ideal first food for babies over 6 months. Our careful combinations of premium, humanely-raised meats and organic veggies are free of hormones, antibiotics, GMOs, gluten, fillers, grain, dairy, corn, allergens, eggs and nuts. Additionally, our squeeze packets are a ready-to-eat food for your baby, easy for you to tote around in a diaper bag, purse or car. Finally, they are completely shelf-stable and good for a year after purchase.
Our original three varieties were Pork, Chicken, and Beef, and we’ve expanded a ton since those first three varieties. Here’s a bit of behind-the-scenes info on why we prioritized these ingredients for our first three purees.
Pasture-raised pork is rich in Vitamin D, which makes it the perfect source of healthy brain-boosting fat for babies. Our pork is processed only with smoke and sea salt, never any sugar, nitrates or nitrites, yielding a bacon that is full of fats rich in Omega 3s and CLAs. We blend it with organic butternut squash for added sweetness and healthy, slow-burning carbohydrates and organic kale for vitamins, minerals and fiber.
We blend organic peas and carrots with completely cage-free, small- farmed and pasture-raised chicken for the protein your baby needs to grow big and strong. Finally, we add organic avocado oil, which is rich in Omega-3 fats to aid brain development. It’s an amazing combination of first foods that’s perfectly aligned with your baby’s nutritional needs.
Our hearty beef baby food recipe is a combination of organic sweet potatoes, kale and grass fed, grass finished beef. It’s a favorite among our baby testers! Sweet potatoes lend a natural sweetness to the blend that babies enjoy and you’ll be surprised how tasty kale is when added to the mix. Plus, these veggies represent a range of vitamins and nutrients ideal for healthy development.
