Streamline your grocery process

Even though it can be time consuming to create a meal plan, it really does help with staying on track during your Whole30. I’ve written all my tips and tricks for meal planning, so feel free to check it out!

I love the convenience of grocery delivery. A few of my favorite services are Amazon Prime Now and Instacart. The two stores that I get delivery from through Instacart are Costco and Aldi! It’s so convenient. If those services aren’t available where you live, you might at least have an option at your local store. I got pretty excited when I found out that Real Plans has an integration with Instacart. You mean I can plan my weekly menu AND get groceries without ever having to leave my house? Count me in. You can sign up for a free two week trial of Real Plans to give it a try!

This year I’m also really excited about ButcherBox.  I’ve been thinking about trying it for a long time, but their current promo was just too good for me to pass up. Right now, if you order from ButcherBox, you will receive 2 lbs of their 100% grass-fed, grass-finished ground beef in every order for the lifetime of your membership. That means any time you order a box, you’ll get two pounds of the highest quality ground beef for free.

Having extra ground beef in the freezer serves as a kind of insurance against Whole30 emergencies. One of my quick go-to dinners is build-your-own taco bowls using  ground beef seasoned with homemade taco seasoning, sautéed onions and peppers, and all the toppings over lettuce. Claim your ground beef for life today!

Let someone else do the cooking

I find that I do really well if I schedule a cooking break at least once a week during my Whole30. It can be a lot of work making every meal from scratch for 30 days.

Did you know there are 19 states that offer Whole30 Approved meal delivery? You can see them all here to check out if there’s one that delivers to your zip code. I live in San Diego, and Model Meals has been an absolute lifesaver for me. I asked for gift cards to Model Meals for my baby shower and then used them postpartum after my meal train ended. It’s SO relieving to know I have an absolutely delicious and nutritious meal waiting for me in the fridge. And, as the main cook in my house, I love eating something that I didn’t prepare myself!

If your state doesn’t have a local meal delivery service, there are also several Whole30 Approved companies that deliver frozen meals to most of the United States, like Kettlebell Kitchen (available in all states except Alaska and Hawaii). You can also find Whole30 Approved Great Value brand freezer meals at Walmart! While you’re there stocking up, make sure to look around for some of our other Whole30 Approved brands available at Walmart.

One last tip on letting someone else cook for you: Chipotle is a go to for me during a Whole30! Their Whole30 Approved Salad Bowl is the easiest, most convenient option on a night where I cannot get dinner on the table, and the whole family is happy!

Stock your pantry

We all know that even if we make the perfect plan, sometimes life happens, and you’re eating whatever you can scrounge together over the counter with one hand as you bounce a screaming baby on your hip. We’ve got you covered with ideas for those moments as well. I listed a ton of my favorites whether prepared foods that I keep on hand or packaged foods for on the go. You can find them here!

We’re always trying to give you fresh ideas, so we asked Whole30 Coach Heather Acken to share her experience getting her fridge and pantry stocked with one handed snacks. Preparation is key! If you haven’t tried Thrive Market yet, now would be a great time to start your free trial and get 20% off your first order. Find a price comparison and honest review of some of our favorite Thrive Market items here.

All right, mama, you got this! Are you joining in the Whole30 this month? Don’t forget to join the conversation over on Instagram and Facebook. We’re looking forward to supporting you all month long and into food freedom.

Want a few Whole30 pep talks to help you prep? Check out our podcasts with four Whole30 coaches (Episodes 97, 98, 99, and 101)!
